ABOUT DARRIN MCNEILL
Dedicated to Serving Our Students and Our Community
Darrin McNeill is a lifelong Raeford resident, business owner, social work professional, and community leader with decades of experience serving children, families, and the people of Hoke County.
He is the founder and CEO of Serenity Therapeutic Services, a behavioral health and human services organization he established in 2009 to support children, adults, and families across North Carolina. Before entering the behavioral health field, Darrin served nearly two decades with the North Carolina Department of Correction, where he advanced to Correctional Captain and also served as a gang investigator. These experiences strengthened his leadership in accountability, public safety, crisis management, conflict resolution, and early intervention.
Darrin holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Mount Olive and a Master of Social Work from Fayetteville State University. He also spent 12 years serving on an advisory board for State Employees’ Credit Union and has remained active in his faith and community.
As a father and grandfather whose family has been educated in Hoke County schools, Darrin understands that the decisions made by the Board of Education have a lasting impact on students, families, educators, and the entire community.
Darrin is running for the Hoke County Board of Education to help ensure that students receive a quality education in safe, supportive schools. He believes effective leadership begins with listening, collaboration, accountability, and responsible decision-making and that students, their safety, their education, and their future should remain at the center of every decision.
